Groups
HCPT is organised through hundreds of groups, each one of a manageable
size, so that helpers and young people can get to know each other well,
and not be lost among the thousands of the entire pilgrimage. The
Manchester Region currently has five groups, each consisting of a
leader, nurse, chaplain, helpers and up to a dozen young people.
Each group is based in a Hotel, and has its own distinctive 'uniform'
with coloured hats, scarves and/or sweatshirts, so that it is easy to
recognise each other and keep together. Each helper or child wears a
