Comments: Hello. I am prompted to post this having received a request from a former Cowley pupil, via Pat Morrisey, for news of another ex-Cowley pupil. It pointed me to this site , of which I was unaware. I am the Hon Sec of CSOBA - the Cowley Salesian Old Boys Aasociation, resurrected by Richard Blake (RIP),some 22 years ago. We meet annually as an association, usually early October in Oxford. Typically we have some 25 attendees with a further 25 or so apologies foe absence. I have noted 4/5 ex.Cowley posts and would be happy for them to get in touch with me so that I can send copies of the minutes of our recent meeting, and hopefully encourage participation in the future. We have members attending going back to the late forties and forward to some who were at Cowley at the time of closure. Comments: Thanks to Mike Ellwood for the namecheck. I too was at Cowley from 1961-68 and saw Paul Humphrey' post which spurred me on to make contact. Having found Mike on Friends Reunited, I found Paul on LinkedIn and I'm pleased to say we three are in email contact and looking to organise a meeting. Of course there are many more of our contemporaries of whom I know nothing. What happened to Andrew Painter, Peter Exley, Paul Badcock, Bernard Duddy, Brian Quarterman, Tony Carmody,Jimmy Foster,Waclaw Slezak, Tony Solomon, Tony Cronin, Adam Heller, Steve Carter, et al? Comments: My time at Cowley (1946-1948 ) were interesting .I remember Canon Byrne , Fr.Bleach, Killer Jennings ,Br. "Bogey" Hogan , Br John Collins,Jakey Boylan, and was pleased to see an old classmate, Wolfe (Lupi) on your site. I now live in Switzerland,and I still visit London 4 to 5 times a year. Two yearsago , I looked up the old School, on arriving ,it looked much smaller than I remembered (as always , with such visits to the past), The Chapel was a private residence, and what was left of the buildings ,a hostel.

I was at the Salesian College Cowley,Oxford from September 1961 to July 1968.
I was alerted to this website by Chris Rogers (via Friends Reunited). We were both contemporaries of Paul Humphreys, who posted here in Jan. 2013 (I think). I would be very happy to hear from Paul, and anyone else from that era.
