Fr José Pastor Ramírez, the World Delegate for Salesian Past Pupils has written a letter in which he draws attention to the centennial of the Association which held its first international Alumni Congress in the year 1911. He says:
It is a great opportunity to revive it (the Association), and to strengthen it so that each member renews his belonging and commitment to it. It is a wonderful occasion to initiate an evaluation at World, National, and especially local levels. Without any doubt the renovation of statutes will constitute a move that will promote the rejuvenating of our group.
