Shrigley Reunion
This year's reunion took place at Savio House over the weekend 31st August to 1st September. It was highly successful in terms of the number attending - 76. The 'Shrigley Atmosphere' was powerfully in evidence as the ex students renewed old friendships and created new ones. It was good to see the members from the United States, led by the indefatigable Hugh Walton and his wife, Beverley. They were presented with a plaque to honour their tremendous commitment to the Shrigley Past Pupils.
An important outcome the reunion was the decision to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the opening of the Salesian Missionary College at Shrigley. This will occur in 2004. It is proposed to centre the event at Shrigley Hall, but a lot of support will be needed. Contact Joe Lomax for further details.
Below is a small selection of the many photographs taken during the course of the weekend.
