National Council at Bootle
We had a very useful National Council meeting at Bootle on Sunday 22nd February
2004. Having been successful with our 2003 project to provide funds of
£5,000 for a water tank to collect clean water for the Salesian Polytechnic
in Monrovia, Liberia, we decided to be a little more ambitious for our 2004
mission project.
We have decided to try to raise enough money (£12,000 approx) to provide a
generator for the Salesian Liberian Polytechnic, to replace the one looted
during the recent troubles.
The picture shows the Council enjoying a meal with the Bootle Community, who
were updated on our 2004 project by National President, Patrick Morrissey,
in his thank you speech.
