Blaisdon Reunion
Yet another excellent mini Reunion was held at Easter 2004 in the
Blaisdon Village Hall. This started with Father Aidan Murray SDB, Parish Priest at Newent, celebrating Mass for the Villagers and Past Pupils and their friends. The village Hall was packed for this wonderful celebration.
As is now customary, Past Pupils from St Josephs Enfield were in attendance. A few new ones were especially welcomed. One was Edward (Ted) P Dalton MBE and his lovely wife Virpi, who is from Finland. Ted had not sung the Salve Regina since he left Enfield as a boy. Nevertheless he was virtually word and music perfect when we sang this at the Salesian grave at St Michael's Church. Ted can be seen in the photos with young Paige Yates, John Ward's granddaughter.
One important person who was missing was our great Salesian Delegate, Father Sean Murray SDB. However we raised a glass to Father Sean in his absence, enjoying a well-deserved break in Malta with the elderly
Salesians. Here's to the Annual Reunion in August!
